AVA Independent is a production company with a mandate to produce one-to-three awards-worthy independent films per year.  The company completed its first film in 2008, entitled THE TOAST, which garnered the Best Directer TIVA PEER Award in that year.  Subsequent award winners followed, to include MATILDA MENCH which was awarded a CINE Golden Eagle for Directing.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

Our most recent feature film, THE ROAD TO GALENA, distributed by Vertical Entertainment, won the Grand Prix and Best Director at the 2022 Prague Independent Film Festival, and Best Director and Cinematographer of the Season in Montreal.
